8 projects selected for the first edition of STARTS in MOTION

We are very glad to announce the selection of eight incredible teams for the first edition of STARTS in MOTION!

The programme has been designed to empower artists and technologists in pursuing their STARTS project by exploring the business side of the creative work. Due to the current lockdown and uncertainty concerning the next months, we have rethought the modules and will focus on a series of online sessions aimed at mentoring, capacitating and empowering the teams to develop further their project.

Magic Lining team translates their residency results at scientific level and inspires fashion-tech designers

Magic Lining is one of the teams awarded with by a STARTS RESIDENCIES  project. Kristi Kuusk, artist designer, has collaborated with the tech project Magic Shoes (Ana Tajadura-Jiménez and Aleksander Valjamae) to develop an artwork about changing one’s self and body perception through the insight of the garment one wears.

Open call Linha de Fuga - The Importance of Anonymity for the Construction of Democracy

LINHA DE FUGA is the second edition of an international laboratory that aims to promote encounters between creators, artists and thinkers from different countries, designed as a field of experimentation, learning and sharing of collective knowledge. It takes place between 30 May and 21 June, 2020 in the city of Coimbra through practical creation seminars and collaboration workshops led by invited national and foreign artists who bring and propose different artistic practices to the participating artists.
