Today, our horizon of the known is located well beyond the boundaries of our planet. With space probes we’ve extended our sensorium from earth’s orbit into the farthest reaches of our solar system while earth-bound observation techniques allow us to sense interstellar neutrino traveler and telescopes peer ever deeper into time, approaching the birth of our universe.
The outer space is not just an object of scientific observation, and the current wave of planned space missions prepares humankind for closer encounters with the objects of our observations.
