STARTS in MOTION starts July with a group session with Marija Butkovic!
One of the recurrent questions young companies and projects have is about funding: what are the types of funding available? What is the right one for us? What are the differences between them? How to decide which to go for? How to make sure that we keep our sci-art and tech-art blueprint when receiving funding?
To open some horizons on these questions, we will have the pleasure to run a 1h30 new group session with Marija Butkovic.
Marija will do a presentation on diverse types of funding for creative, art-tech and sci-art businesses, focusing in particular on Venture Capital and Angel investment.
She will give an overview on the differences between both types, the pros and cons and the conditions to fulfill to get this kind of private funding. She will also approach questions like “Will we lose control on our company with a private investment? Will we still be our own bosses with such funding?”.
She will also briefly cover some other types of “one-time” funding like cash prizes, awards and competitions.
We will then open the discussions with Q&A from the participants, moment where we will be able to come back on some points of interest and discuss them further.
Note: EU funding will be covered by a session to be organized in the next weeks, by Aurélie Delater – Senior Consultant at INOVA.
5:00 pm - 5:45 pm: Presentation
5:45 pm - 6:30 pm: Q&A and unformal networking
Facilitator: Ana Solange Leal, INOVA
